Below is just a taste sample.

CHAMPAGNE & SPARKLING

Delamotte Brut NV 50.00
A blend of approximately 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier, resulting in a fine wine. It is powerful but not aggressive, with an agreeable freshness, the bouquet shows white flowers & lemon peel, supple roundness on the palate, and a clean and fruity finish.

Ruinart Blanc de Blanc NV 85.00
Sensational non-vintage made from 100% Chardonnay. The superb golden yellow liquid glimmers enticingly through the clear glass. Irresistible and seductive, the champagne has a clean, intense first nose followed by warm rich notes of brioche, honey and roasted almonds with sweet lemony overtones.

Perrier Jouet 1998 95.00
Showing a ripe, honeyed, slightly mealy nose, and a good depth of secondary character fruits. Notes of toast and brioche. Good clean acidity, but above all a fine, integrated composition of fruit and length.

Salon 1996 320.00
“Salon is the secret wine of Champagne."  By almost every measurable yardstick, Salon defies comparison and stands supreme as the 'Connoisseur’s Champagne'.  Only one wine is made from the first pressing or tête de cuvée and exclusively from Grand Cru Chardonnay from Le Mensil, the most sought after grapes in Champagne. Subtlety, complexity of fruit and toasty notes on nose and palate, incredible length.

Delamotte Rose Brut  65.00
A pale, delicate rosé with a Pinot Noir dominated blend. A delightful pale pink 'oeil de perdrix' in colour, with fresh strawberry fruits coming through on the nose and palate making an attractive accompaniment to food as well as a delicious aperitif.

Prosecco Di Valdobbiadene, Le Colture, Sylvoz Italy 30.00
Lightly fruit driven, dry with the perfume of golden apples on the nose. Light and dry palate, with delicate bubbles and hints of peach.

WHITE WINES

Terre de Lumiere Viognier, Celliers Jean d’Alibert, 2008 Languedoc 17.95
This is classic, uber-fresh Viognier: aromatic and floral with pretty notes of orange and acacia blossom. Richer orchard and tropical fruit follow with a characteristic weightiness to the finish.

Pinot Grigio, Luna, Cecilia Beretta, 2008 Italy 24.00
Great elegance and rich character, belying the nature of the grape. Good fruit concentration on the palate with clean ripe fruit flavours. Concentration and complexity that you might not normally expect from Pinot Grigio wines.

Lofthouse, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, 2008 New Zealand 29.50
A wine of great pedigree with its vibrantly fresh, sprightly, almost nettley aromas and rich gooseberry and asparagus palate.  Good balancing acidity compliments the structured fruit finish.  A classic Marlborough leafy Sauvignon Blanc.

Vinamar Reserva, Chardonnay, Casablanca Valley, 2008 Chile 21.50
A relatively full weighted Chardonnay, but not over oaked by any means. The white flower flavours and aromas of peach and apricot are complimented by a subtle creamy vanilla palate from a judicious use of oak.

Macon-Verzé, Domaine Leflaive, 2007 Burgundy 47.00
Rich green-gold in colour, with a lovely perfume of floral white fruits & a hint of butter. With barely 5% of oak used, the natural sweetness and freshness of the Chardonnay fruit is expressed, with a palate that is succulent, super ripe, lushly flavoured but with a rich and long mineral finish.

Estate Riesling, Rheingau, Schloss Schönborn, 2008 Germany 29.50
Excellent concentration of ripe peachy, honeyed flavours with a hint of almost tropical mango fruit and top notes of typical ‘petrolly’ Riesling.

Sancerre, Domaine de la Grande Maison, Chaumeau Balland, 2008 Loire 35.00
Rich and ripe with creamy gooseberry and herbaceous fruits on the nose, complimented with fresh lemon acidity to finish. Depth of flavours and length of zesty fruit finish show quality winemaking from a single Domaine producer.

RED WINES

Eradus, Pinot Noir, Marlborough, 2008 New Zealand 38.00
Exotic fruit and spice on the nose, with redcurrant and strawberry flavours and red cherry hints too. Fresh and appealing fruity palate, more subtle and complex than it at first appears.

Chamuyo, Malbec, Mendoza, 2008 Argentina 19.95
100% Malbec. A fine mix of aromatic herbs, pepper and red fruits, with sweet and well-structured tannins. An enticing spicy red fruit finish.

Primitivo del Tarantino, Masseria dei Trullari IGT, 20067Italy 23.50
100% Primitivo this wine has a characteristic, ripe cherry and balsamic nose with concentrated dark cherries and dried herbs on the palate. Its distinctive minerality on the finish gives real personality and appeal.

Merlot, Panul Estate, Colchagua Valley, 2008 Chile 19.00
The nose presents an intense blast of pure, concentrated, dark fruit and blackcurrant leaf. The palate is equally focussed, sweet and ripe, with a refreshing lift which sets this wine well above its peers in blind tastings.

Heywood Estate Shiraz, 2008, SE Australia 21.00
Dark purple, juicy, slightly smokey and spicy red but with lovely, pure Syrah fruit flavours of pepper, redcurrants and blackberries.

Cuvée Margot, Bourgogne Rouge, Olivier Leflaive, 2007 Burgundy 39.00
Named in honour of Olivier’s little girl, this is a flirtatious, charming red.  Early drinking and brightly fruited it combines roses and sweet spice on the nose, mirrored on the palate, which is aromatic, fresh and exuberant.

Domaine de Saissac, Cabernet Sauvignon, d’Oc, 2007 Languedoc 20.50
Deep red black in colour, with notes of cassis and cedar, ripe and sweetly fruited.  Partially aged in oak, this wine has a wonderful fruit concentration and a fine balance.  Tannin backbone is ripe and balanced.

ROSE WINE

Bourgogne Rosé, ‘Cuvée Margoton’, Olivier Leflaive, 2008 Burgundy 29.50
The nose is redolent of ripe red berry fruits, with a touch of cream leading to a richly fruited palate showing fresh raspberry and strawberry notes, balanced by a zesty, vibrant acidity. This is a serious rose wine.

Rosé Domaine de Montauberon, Côtes de Thongue, 2008 Languedoc 21.00
Cherries, redcurrant and exotic fruits on the nose. Fresh and fruity redcurrant on the palate with a spicy end on the mouth with a rounded finish. A summer must have!
